Ethics Requirements
The Oxton Science Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent malpractice. The journal's editorial policies are fully aligned with the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are entirely original works. Any use of the work and/or words of other authors must be appropriately cited or quoted. Simultaneous submission to more than one journal is not permitted. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may have influenced the results or interpretation of their research. All authors listed on a submission must have made a significant intellectual contribution to the work and must consent to its publication.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts received for review as confidential documents. They must not use unpublished information disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research without the explicit written consent of the authors. Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest and must conduct their evaluations objectively, providing constructive and unbiased feedback.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair and impartial evaluation of all submitted manuscripts, solely based on their academic merit and relevance to the journal's scope. Editors must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the editorial team. Editors must recuse themselves from decisions involving manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
Plagiarism and Research Integrity
The Oxton Science Journal has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and any other form of research misconduct. All submitted manuscripts are subject to originality verification prior to peer review. In cases where misconduct is identified, the journal reserves the right to reject the manuscript, notify the authors' institutions, and issue a retraction if the work has already been published.
Corrections and Retractions
The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record. When errors are identified in published works, appropriate corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions will be issued promptly and transparently, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
